What we handle

Delhi School Tribunal

Appeals under the Delhi School Education Act, 1973 against dismissal, removal or reduction in rank.

What we do

Typical matters

  • Appeals under Section 8(3) of the Act
  • Applications for interim relief pending appeal
  • Approval of dismissal under Section 8(2)
  • Execution of the Tribunal's orders
  • Writ petitions against orders of the Tribunal

The Tribunal hears appeals by employees of recognised private schools against dismissal, removal and reduction in rank. It is a statutory forum with its own procedure, and matters before it are decided on the school's own record.

We appear for institutions in these appeals, and advise on the steps that precede them — most importantly on obtaining prior approval where the Act requires it, the absence of which is the most common reason an order is set aside.
