What we handle

Recognition & Affiliation

Withdrawal, refusal or conditional renewal of recognition, and affiliation proceedings before the boards.

What we do

Typical matters

  • Show-cause notices proposing withdrawal of recognition
  • Refusal or delay of recognition and its renewal
  • Conditions imposed on renewal, and their variation
  • Affiliation, extension and upgradation before CBSE and other boards
  • Inspection reports and the reply to them
  • Writ proceedings against orders of the Directorate

Recognition is the institution's licence to operate, and it is withdrawn by a process that begins with a notice and a short time to reply. What is said in that reply, and what is placed with it, largely determines what follows.

We settle the reply, appear at the personal hearing, and carry the matter to the Delhi High Court where an adverse order is made. Where recognition has already been withdrawn, the first application is usually for a stay that lets the academic year finish.

Speak to us about a notice

If a hearing date is close, telephone rather than using the form. Nothing on this page is legal advice.
